 How adorable is this solid heart in a granny?? I started making amigurumi hearts because I was just feeling so sad, upset and worried by everything in the news and I knew I needed something positive to focus on!  I recommend carrying both colors with you as you work your square so you don't have as many ends to weave!  I used Yarn Bee Soft Sleek and Chunky and a size F hook You can use any 4 or 5 ply yarn and then go two hook sizes down to create a tight pattern. HC=Heart Color BC= Background color Round 1 using HC make a magic ring, chain 3 2dc, ch3,3dc,ch3,3dc,ch3,3dc, ch 3 and join with beginning of the round Round 2 using HC chain 3 1 dc in each dc, in corner 2dc, ch 2, 2dc, then dc in each stitch along the side, 2dc, ch2,2dc in corner, repeat until you get to the beginning and join. I love the idea of Yarn bombing but I hate the idea of the yarn going to waste after the event. I just made one for my son's school and I designed it in a way the all of it can easily be used for items to donate for charity when it's all taken down next week. Here I am installing the smaller of the 2 ribbons I used many shades to give it a fun look. This is made of 3 scarves and will be donated after so no yarn will be wasted!

Make DAD or any man in your life this very manly granny afghan,  The works up really quick do to it's lap size but still looks very handsome.  Supplies: J crochet hook 1 jumbo ball of each or about 3 of dark blue, 4 of grey, and royal blue loops and thread impeccable All grannies are 4 rounds and dc Here is the way I do grannies, You can o the grannies anyway you feel comfortable. Round 1- magic circle, ch3 ( counts as first dc) 2 dc into the ring, ch2, 3 dc, ch2, 3dc,  ch2, 3dc, ch2 and slip stitch to join into the  top of the chain 3. Round 2   Ch 3,2dc, ch2, 3dc ( this is your corner)into the same stitch, work remaining corners: *ch1, skip over the 3 dc from the previous round, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) into the same stitch; repeat from * two more times, ch1, Slip stitch to the 3rd chain for your beginning  dc. flower, posies or a star? I couldn't decide what it looked like more, all I know is It makes me think of spring and makes me smile! If you are unfamiliar with the puff stitch please read my how to guide here step by step picture guide on starting the puff stitch in the round I used Loops and Thread Necessities  in Butter and teal/ turquoise and a size J hook. RedHeart soft or any other 4 ply worsted weight yarn can be used Start with a magic circle using Butter Rd 1 Make 1 puff, 1 chain repeat so you have 8 and 8, sl into top of first puff Rd 2 in each space make 1 puff, chain 2, 1 puff for a total of 16 puffs, sl into top of first puff It shouldn't look pointy at all yet but like a circle Rd 3 Make *1puff, chain2, 1 puff, in next stitch make one puff* repeat until the end for a total of 24 puffs.   It will not look like a circle and may lay funny until the last round now Here is a close up ...
