Crochet Chiq

This one drove me crazy until I made several! Anyone else hook in their car?  This pattern is for advance beginners and beyond For those that prefer an exact stitch count for every size this in not the pattern for you. I made this pattern last year but didn't put it up because i don't have the yarn budget and whew the time to make this in every size. If you search circle vest patterns on ravelry I am sure you can find paid patterns in any size you want. I have taught this as a class in a major craft store and many students loved the idea of learning to make something with this level of customization . Note I instead of just giving you what I did to make my size I am giving you all of my notes so you can make it in your size as well. If you are comfortable reading patterns then this should not be difficult for you however I would not suggest this pattern to be the first written pattern you should try. We already had a mall trip planned and we Pickup up a plain white mug at Bed Bath and Beyond and some fancy organic ( so yummy) teas from World Market.

Lion Brand kindly sent me a ball of their new yarn line Landscapes.  ( THANK YOU LION BRAND, feel free to send yarn anytime hehehehe )  WOW is it LOVELY the colors are incredibly vibrant and the yarn is extremely soft.  It's an Acrylic yarn but feels more like a soft blend. It come in 6 exciting color ways Apple Orchid ( That is the colorway I used) Tropics, Boardwalk, Sand Dune, Desert Spring and Mountain Range. Each ball is 100grams/3.5 oz (147 yards) and it's a #4 medium weight yarn.  The label says to use a K hook but i wanted to make something using only one ball so I opted for a design that used an H hook.

This ring is so easy and lots of fun if you are 4, 24 or 94  I used Paton's lace yarn I recommend either lace weight or crochet thread. I used a steel crochet hook, use the size you are most comfortable with. It's Holy week so I thought I would come up with a simple cross that is a great introduction to tapestry crochet. The color changes are simple :) Do this up in cotton and it's a cute wash/ dish cloth. Or use just about any yarn and make a scarf, or blanket by making lots of these and attaching them. Here is the scarf in my favorite color combo!! This scarf is so easy your head will spin! Supplies: H Hook Starbella Yarn Skill level This can be your VERY first crochet project!! First you need to spread out the yarn and look at the netting. The part that is thick is the bottom or the edging, it is what ruffles. The thinner side with the spaced out netting is the top and what we will be crocheting into. What we are doing is a chain, take turns between chaining in every hole and skips one or two holes. Continue chaining until you have the length desired. the yarn will curl and ruffle as you go. Knot and slip stitch to hide your end. Then repeat everything with a 2nd chain at the same length. Wow, Can I start out by saying thank you for all the view last month!!! We had over 90 views in one day!!! Alright lets get to my latest project! This is a very versatile project for any experience level crocheter. It can be done in just about any stitch including but not limited to , sc, hdc, dc, star stitch, basket weave, broom stick lace, shell, puff, zig zag, use your mind and bring out your own user CHIQ! This is made using a size N hook and Loops and Thread's Charmisa yarn in  Black Raspberry. It's lined with black felt. ( lining is optional) So what is the pattern?? It's sooooo easy are you ready??
