Crochet Chiq

So yesterday I was looking around Elizabeth Ham 's facebook group  and some one posted a jacob's ladder style pattern and I thought to myself WOW I could soo do that to make a frumpy tee look fitted and flirty!! Check out my NEW Video HERE This will make your t shirt tighter cut you slits about 3-4 inches long and about 1-2 inches apart using a ruler helps to keep everything straight uses sharp scissors make a difference! in the video you can see i used my trusty Fiscars! Using the hook you pull the loops through each other to create a cable on top. I started from the toop of the shirt. 

As I was coming up with this pattern I thought of my favorite Spinning princess who pricked her finger on spinning wheel and fell into a deep slumber. So it seemed only fitting to call this Aurora's Shawl. This Shawl is designed to be quick and GREAT for those who haven't tried lace yet!! I used Paton's lace and a size K hook.. Now if you are an expereinced crocheter you may be thinking I am out of my mind... I wasn't sure at first if it would work but I love the way it came out and I think it's great!!! Supplies, Crochet hook size K ( plastic ones are awesome because they are lighter than the metal ones!) ! ball or Paton's lace, or simulair yarn for the shawlette or 2 balls to continue with the pattern to make a full triangle shawl. flower, posies or a star? I couldn't decide what it looked like more, all I know is It makes me think of spring and makes me smile! If you are unfamiliar with the puff stitch please read my how to guide here step by step picture guide on starting the puff stitch in the round I used Loops and Thread Necessities  in Butter and teal/ turquoise and a size J hook. RedHeart soft or any other 4 ply worsted weight yarn can be used Start with a magic circle using Butter Rd 1 Make 1 puff, 1 chain repeat so you have 8 and 8, sl into top of first puff Rd 2 in each space make 1 puff, chain 2, 1 puff for a total of 16 puffs, sl into top of first puff It shouldn't look pointy at all yet but like a circle Rd 3 Make *1puff, chain2, 1 puff, in next stitch make one puff* repeat until the end for a total of 24 puffs.   It will not look like a circle and may lay funny until the last round now Here is a close up ...

Supplies: yarn scraps and any hook I used : Bernet Mosaic and a size "H" hook this is redheart botique changes Skill level Advanced Beginner Magic circle Round 1-12 hdc into the circle and join Round 2- 2hcd, then 1hdc repeat all around Round 3 A- chain 9and slip stitch in the back loop  repeat all the way around Round 3 B- chain 6 and slip stitch in the front loop repeat all the way around slip stitch and hide yarn ends! Try it with D.C and get a larger flower! attach a pin and it's a lovely brooch! Have fun with this, use different yarns for each layer for a bright and and multi colored flower! What will you do?
