Crochet Chiq

I am using Red Heart Super Saver Ombre Yarn and an I hook This is a quick back I wanted to share for those that want a join that is invisible even when you are working with multiple colors! I'm in the process of making a Corner to Corner throw of various colors and am making panels of the same length but different widths. To join them I am using a needle and thread to sew together and below you will see what the front and back look like when you do this. I always double thread and hand stitch when using this method. I start by placing the panels on top of each other and stitch about 2 stitches in every crocheted stitch. You can go in the yarn. It doesn't have to be like when you see with the yarn. This was their favorite of all the yarn bombs!  I have been following Stephen Duneier on Instagram   and watched as people from all over the WORLD sent in items to be used in a collaborative yarn bomb. People sent in complete blankets, squares, wips, ufos, even projects gone wrong. Even a child sent in finger knitting, which made my almost eight year old boy get so excited to take up crochet again!   Even though I saw many of these pieces separately on his feed I was not prepared for the sights I saw when I walked up the mountain. Is yarn becoming more popular or am I just noticing it more? I have noticed in my area at least I see people out and about with their wips in tow! ( wips = works in progress) I personally almost always have yarn and a hook with me. hahaha sometimes I use my hook to twirl my hair up and out of my face! My local coffee baristas ask me how my scarves and blog are doing because i think I may crochet there as much as I do at home... WHY? for me i like the change of scenery.  After teaching a beginning crochet class on Sunday my awesome man surprised me by picking me up and taking me to a new coffee location on the beach! It was super relaxing and I even got some crocheting in!  Don't worry the sand didn't even stick to the yarn however I bet it would have stuck to a wool blend... so select your fibers carefully!  CHIQ TIP if you are placing your wips in your purse or laptop bag put it in a ziplock bag to protect it :) it also avoids yarn vomit Af...
