Flip flops, new favorite yarns and LOTS of flat flowers

Hello Everyone!!!
I have been very neglectful of this blog, sorry I will try to be on more often, let me show you what I have been up to!!!! I started teaching at 3 different Michael's Arts and Crafts( The views and statements in this blog are MY OWN and DO NOT reflect or represent Micheal's Arts and Crafts in any way shape or form),  Long Beach, Orange and now Huntington Beach ( right by Bella Terra). If you are local come check out my classes, I have even designed 2 classes that are ONLY taught at these Michael's :) I am working on a third class based on the hat pattern I have on this blog, it's just a process of writing out the paperwork.
Can I share how much I LOVE my job and how  lucky I feel to be able to crochet for 5-8 hours a day and actually help other crocheters while earn a little dough to support my darling little boys!
Check out www.crochetcrowd.com for pattern details, this isn't the exact pattern but Mikey is the amazing one who came up with this CHIQ idea!!
This is a Crochet Flip Flop using Loops and Threads Black yarn and Bernet Boa yarn I think they are CHIQ!!! Also it makes these 1.99 sandals very comfy the straps feel sooo soft it's like I am wearing slippers!!!  Also this project highlights my TRICK for using novelty yarn. We all LOVE the look of the cool yarns but they are pretty hard to crochet with. I tend to loom knit with them, use them as a border or using a strand of 4ply or 3ply yarn in the same color that way I can see the stitches I make!
This yarn is very soft and has sparkles which makes it totally CHIQ
I am in love with the yarn I am using to make these flowers, unforanitly it is NOT available at all stores and is a tad on the pricey side for my typical redheart priced budget! It is call RedHeart Botique Midnight and is $5.99 for 2.5 oz, however I always use a coupon!!! One of my begining classes is about Flat Crochet flowers, how to make them and what to do with them. This class is 2.5 hours and is for people who are just learning! I am making 3 balls worth of the flowers and going to sew them together to make a soft summer weight shawl.
Check this other yarn I fell in love with! It's called Bernet Mosaic

This yarn just screams creativity to me, What would you make with this yarn? Comment below. Since I am on a flower kick at the moment I made more flowers with this yarn! I think these would make a cute scarf or little girls summer blanket.

Note: when using this kind of yarn make sure to leave the tails on so you can sew or crochet them on later with out having to search for a matching spot in your ball of yarn :)

Well I have lots of Hooking to do so until next time keep HOOKING!
