Supplies: 4 ply yarn ~ I recommend redheart soft, redheart botique ( changes or botique) Redheart shimmer, Loops and Thread Impeccable, and  Vanna's Choice and Glamour ( hold 2 together as one) Size H Hook Skill Level EASY!! For a skinny basic headband chain 6 for a thicker one ( ch 10) Dc in 3rd chain from the hook. Dc a total of 4 times, first chain two from here on out count as a step up not a stitch and creates a slightly wavy headband. ( dc8time) 2nd row and every row until the end  chain 2 turn DC a total of 4 times ( Dc 8 times) Continue until when stretched the headband is the right size. It's Holy week so I thought I would come up with a simple cross that is a great introduction to tapestry crochet. The color changes are simple :) Do this up in cotton and it's a cute wash/ dish cloth. Or use just about any yarn and make a scarf, or blanket by making lots of these and attaching them. This is a written out version to make the batman logo in a square! This is perfect for crocheter that are thinking about filet crochet but don't want to try a graph yet! Here is the scarf in my favorite color combo!! This scarf is so easy your head will spin! Supplies: H Hook Starbella Yarn Skill level This can be your VERY first crochet project!! First you need to spread out the yarn and look at the netting. The part that is thick is the bottom or the edging, it is what ruffles. The thinner side with the spaced out netting is the top and what we will be crocheting into. What we are doing is a chain, take turns between chaining in every hole and skips one or two holes. Continue chaining until you have the length desired. the yarn will curl and ruffle as you go. Knot and slip stitch to hide your end. Then repeat everything with a 2nd chain at the same length. I haven't written the pattern for the bunny and her carrot yet.  Why use plastic ones? Go green and make you own reusable ones!!!  Not to mention these are completely adorable!! Mix and match you tops and bottoms with different colors.  Also try using 100% animal fiber yarn and dye them using Easter egg dye after the are crochet to get the full on look!! To dye yarn with Easter egg dye just follow the direction exactly and use 100% animal fiber yarn, this will not work on acrylic yarn !  Skill level:  Intermediate Supplies needed:  size D or E crochet hook 4 ply or 3 ply yarn scraps it doesn't take much to make an egg but can you stop at one? Made with Redheart Shimmer I saw a photo of this Vintage lace pattern and fell in love but I couldn't find a free pattern and so after hours ( I won't tell you how many!) I came up with a pattern :) This is my way of making it based off of the picture! I love this sooo much!! If you use 4ply yarn you can make a quick and easy scarf or use crochet thread and make a pretty edging! Supplies:  any yarn and the hook the yarn suggests you use. I would stay away from anything above a 4ply. Lacey stitches don't hold their shape as well when made with a larger hook and ply yarn. Supplies: any type of shirt, I used a cami and a ripped tank from target ( on sale for $5.00 each) A steel crochet hook I used 2.75 , but size 0 works too. and Crochet thread any size.  I also used Bernet Mosaic ( pink cami top) and it turned out great Skill level  I would suguest that you be able to have a even tension. There isn't an important gauge for this project but your stitches should be even. Hello everyone, Thank you so much for reading my blog!! A huge thanks to Teresa at the Crochet Geek or Art of Crochet by Teresa ( her blog is  http://crochet-mania.blogspot.com/ ) For sharing one of my blog entries! I have been pretty busy lately teaching crochet classes and believe it or not but that normally leaves me pretty uninspired to crochet anything non class related! It's hard to crochet 6 hours at a wack a few days in a row. But I love teaching so what is a girl to do? So let me show you a few of the things I have created. The first hat is red heart soft in sea foam green and done in the puff stitch. The second hat is in Caron's Simply Soft in Pink  is just a HDC beanie with a trim. The third Hat is Caron's Simply Soft in Black and a DC hat with teddy ears. The third hat is a DC hat. The last hat is made with Red heart Soft in Grey starts like a round granny and then a shell. There are sooooo many crochet heart patterns out there, some are easy , so are hard and some make no sense. This is a quick one I came up with after searching and not finding what I wanted! Supplies needed: Yarn ( any ) and the hook that is suggested to use for that yarn ROUND 1 I'm using a size H and 4ply Caron Simply Soft Chain 6, 2hdc in 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in next ch ( 3rd from hook) 5hdc in next ch. Hdc in next ch. 3hdc in last chain So right now you should have what looks like an upside down "V", this will be the bottom of the heart! HA HA HA Not that I am anti Kniting, I teach a knitting class everyonce in a while ( When I have to!) but I have more hours invested in crochet so I like to stick with crochet, then looming, then knitting. How would you like to learn to make this cute Baby Block??  It's not very hard to make and cost less than a skein of yarn! I made this with left over yarn that is no longer being sold. I used a novelty yarn and a strand of Loops and Thread 4 ply so my stitches were easy to see! This project is a great way to tryout novelty yarn!  This project is dedicated to my co-workers grandson who is battling Osteogenesis Imperfecta ( Brittle Bone Disease)!.
