Crochet this 4th of July Bag

Ready to have the best forth of July bag ever and a chance to win???

I will start releasing parts of the pattern on Monday June 10th you will hold a drawling on July 5th To enter  email me crochetchiq@gmail.com a photo of  your finished project. Don't for get to tag crochetchiq in your facebook, twitter and instagram  project updates!

Rules:
You can use your own colors, I know I have a world wide audience and not everyone wants an American bag!  You must use at least 3 colors ( 2 colors for the blue and white square) and you must use 4 ply yarn.
The yarn I used is  Red Heart with Love and Red Heart Super Saver but you can use any 4 ply yarn.
I used a J hook but feel free to use any hook you like!
You can not make a larger or smaller bag and must use the same number of squares listed.
A while I am making the lining easy to follow you do not have to line your bag to enter the contest!

All photos submitted will be watermarked and shared please include your name and or website if you would like that included :)

PRIZES

One winner will get to choose either (anyone can win this no matter where you live) a $35 amazon gift card or ( American or Canadian only prize sorry I can't afford the international shipping yet!) a prize package filled with basic, specialty yarns, dryer balls, a new pattern yet to be released, and other awesome items totaling more than the gift card price! Thread Cross Bookmark

I used Aunt Lydia's Crochet thread and a size D hook. Make a magic circle Round 1 Ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2 and join. Sides and top of cross Ch3 2dc, ch2, dc3 in any ch2 sp. Turn and *sl to ch2, ch3,2dc, ch2,3dc. *Turn and repeat * repeat everything in this step 3 more times. Cut thread and weave in ends at the ends of the sides. Bottom of the cross When you get to the last side repeat the * section 2 more times for a total of 4 shells for the bottom and 2 shells for the sides not including the center. On the top of the cross attach yarn and chain 26, skip the first 5 and sl to the first chain. Then I added a tassel. Easy simple no shaping stocking ornament

Step 1 This is the star stitch but you can make these any size and any stitch just make it in this shape. The above sample has 19 star stiches on the bottom ( 2 rows plus beginning hdc row)and reduces to 10 star stiches ( 3 rows) step 2 turn so the right sides are facing each other, and sew them together like the above picture,. isdsjfklajlkdsjc step three turn right side out! attach a chain 5 if desires so you can hang it. I am making about 30 of these for my 6 year old to hand out as Christmas gifts at school with mini candy canes in them!
