How to make a DIY Crochet Circle Vest, Instruction to use your favorite doily pattern and my FREE pattern is included as well

This one drove me crazy until I made several! Anyone else hook in their car?  This pattern is for advance beginners and beyond For those that prefer an exact stitch count for every size this in not the pattern for you. I made this pattern last year but didn't put it up because i don't have the yarn budget and whew the time to make this in every size. If you search circle vest patterns on ravelry I am sure you can find paid patterns in any size you want. I have taught this as a class in a major craft store and many students loved the idea of learning to make something with this level of customization . Note I instead of just giving you what I did to make my size I am giving you all of my notes so you can make it in your size as well. If you are comfortable reading patterns then this should not be difficult for you however I would not suggest this pattern to be the first written pattern you should try. Every time I have make this I have used a different 4ply y...

Chiq Slouchy spiral

Soo I never would have come up with this slouchy hat had I not made this adorable cup cake beanie by the talented Twinkie Chan see her * paid * patterns on ravelry! I was intrigure because this hat is NOT made from the top down and that's all I will say about this pattern here is my brand new slouchy pattern!!! I will release variation later this week and month and I have been making this hat non stop here is the basic version I used the pictured yarn above but any 4 ply will do along with a J crochet hook chain any odd number from 21 to 27 ( 21 will be not so slouchy 27 will be very slouchy) you are working this hat side to side....  Row 1 hdc in 3rd chain from hook *skip 1, 2 hdc in the next* repeat until the end Row 2 sl over the first stitch chain 2, hdc, *skip 1, 2dc) repeat until the end... in the last stitch do 2 hdc so it slants and increases, ***every row should have the same amount of stitches we skip 2 on one side and add two on the ne...

Chiq 3 strand headband

Headband time!!! These are headbands I have seen all over the place and at first I thought they were made by having 3 separate chains but after seeing some at a craft fair last week I think is way looks better!! Supplies F crochet hook 4 ply yarn This is a VERY EASY pattern!! Great for a beginner!! To start you will chain 115 chain 20 for the side chain 75-for the mid chain 20-for the side Turn ch1 sc in the first 20 chains, then chain 75, and sct in the last 20chains.  Turn ch1, sc in the first 20, then chain 75, and sc in the last 20 chains. Fasten off and weave in your two ends. If you want to make this smaller adjust the pattern by reducing the count for the mid section A basic child size would be Ch 20 for the side ( for a small child you could do 15 here) Chain 35- for the mid Ch 20- for the side Also changing the hook size or yarn size is a very easy way to make the headband bigger or smaller. There is no wrong way here what ever you...

Chiq Easy Flower Ring

This ring is so easy and lots of fun if you are 4, 24 or 94  I used Paton's lace yarn I recommend either lace weight or crochet thread. I used a steel crochet hook, use the size you are most comfortable with. To make the band: * for a skinny band use sc and for a thickier one use dc* chain 7, hdc in the 2nd chain from hook and hdc in each across ( 6 hdc) *chain 1 turn, hdc in each across*repeat until it's long enough to wrap around your finger. use a yarn needle or your hook to weave the tail and sew the 2 ends together to make the band. turn inside out so the seam is on the inside To make the flower start with a magic circle ch1 sc18 times and pull string to tighten magic circle sl to first sc ch 4 skip 1 stitch and sl in the next repeat all the way around * ch1, 6 sc sl * repeat in each chain 4 band to create petals. sl into first petal and leave long tail for sewing Attach flower over seam and weave in...
