Hearts Throw Pannel 1

If you are done with your Christmas projects get a JUMP on the LOVE holiday with this quick easy throw! You can use only this chart if you like but I will be adding other squares the same size that can be used with this :) My Blanket will have 4 of these panels. Repeat the chart 4 times to make a panel ( why did I decide on 4? that's how many I can get out of 2 balls if you have the budget to go bigger go for it!)
I used a size N crochet hook and Loops and Thread cozy wool yarn ( size 6, feel free to use any brand)

If you have any questions let me know!

HINT : the oval thing is a chain the T with a line is a Double Crochet

EXAMPLE of how to read this chart I will write out the first two rows
to start I chained 27 ( 23 +3 for first dc + 1 for chain 1)

Row 1 dc,chain 1 repeat until the end. * always start and end the row with a dc*
Row2 chain 4 (dc plus ch1)skip one ( the chain of the last row) *dc, chain 1 skip one *repeat3 times dc in the next  3, * chain 1 skip one dc* repeat 5 times

  1. I really like this pattern but will not attempt to make it because there is no written pattern. I do not like working from a char because it is to follow, especially this one because there is no description for the symbols. Maybe I can find a pattern some where else. Thanks for the idea anyway.

Thread Cross Bookmark

Turn and *sl to ch2, ch3,2dc, ch2,3dc. *Turn and repeat * repeat everything in this step 3 more times. Cut thread and weave in ends at the ends of the sides. Bottom of the cross When you get to the last side repeat the * section 2 more times for a total of 4 shells for the bottom and 2 shells for the sides not including the center. On the top of the cross attach yarn and chain 26, skip the first 5 and sl to the first chain. Then I added a tassel. Step 1 This is the star stitch but you can make these any size and any stitch just make it in this shape. The above sample has 19 star stiches on the bottom ( 2 rows plus beginning hdc row)and reduces to 10 star stiches ( 3 rows) step 2 turn so the right sides are facing each other, and sew them together like the above picture,. isdsjfklajlkdsjc step three turn right side out! attach a chain 5 if desires so you can hang it. I am making about 30 of these for my 6 year old to hand out as Christmas gifts at school with mini candy canes in them!
