Christmas spirit Scarf, This yarn and scarf makes me think of the holidays!

This scarf make me want to go out and sing carol with sipping warm apple cider! make it in other colors for other looks! It the white variation it looks sweet and delicate! What color will you make it in?

This is a cute lacy scarf which is extremely quick and easy to make!
I started with a foundation dc here are the instructions in case you need them http://crochetchiq.blogspot.com/2012/07/how-to-crochet-foundation-double.html

I will say it over and over, the new yarns by "loops and thread" ( only at Michaels) are AMAZING!!!! This is Impeccable Glitter and is a firmer ( but still soft, just wont get fuzzy like other sparkle yarns)  I used a H hook and 1 ball of this fest yarn!
Row 1 - Start with a foundation Dc row of 13 ( if you would like a wider scarf just keep the number odd and you can add as many as you like)

Row 2-turn ch2, 1dc in the first dc, skip 1, 2dc in the next, skip 1, 2 dc in the next, skip 1, 2dc in the next, skip 1 2dc in the next, skip 1, 2dc in the next, skip 1, 2 dc in the last dc of the row

Row 3 until the the last row- turn ch 2, 1 dc in the first, *skip 1, 2dc in the next* repeat until the end of the row.
this is 1 row of fdc and 4 rows of the pattern
I added fringe, but this also looks great with a ch3 sl border

  1. What is a chain sl border? I love the scarf and would like to make it, but I don't know how to do the border. Thanks!

    1. it's optional but you slip stitch, chain 3, slip stitch chain 3, slip stitch ..... repeat until the end

  2. Why do you just not do a chain of 16 and start from the third Cain as your first dc?

  3. Rosalie, because by using the FDC, you already have your first row when you finish the row.

On the top of the cross attach yarn and chain 26, skip the first 5 and sl to the first chain. Then I added a tassel.
